Spring has made an early arrival to the area this year and with that means an earlier opening for the Ortonville Golf Course.  The golf course will be opening Thursday March 10^th for the 2016 golf season.  At this time I feel confident that the course is ready for golf and that foot and cart traffic will not disturb the overall health and vigor of the grass.  Pro shop hours will be limited to 10am-4pm for the month of March and closed if inclement weather impedes safe conditions for the golf course.  The Ortonville Golf Course will again be offering reduced greens fees until May 15^th, $15 for 9 holes or $25 for 18 holes.  Early bird discount specials on memberships are available until March 21^st and can be purchased at the Ortonville City Offices.  The golf course will also be accepting credit and debit card payments for memberships at the Sports and Leisure March 19^th and 20^th.  The golf maintenance department also has openings for seasonal maintenance personnel for the 2016 golf season, applications can be picked up at the Ortonville City Offices or at the Golf Maintenance Building.  I am looking forward to another great year at the Ortonville Golf Course and will have monthly updates for everyone as the season progresses.
